Words on the wall - a reminder that some things must end before their time Hold it, just hold me. Hold it, they'll never know. Hold it, just hold me. Hold it, they'll never go. Words mean so much. They remind me that some things don't end, they continue on Hold it, just hold me. Hold it, they'll never know. Hold it, just hold me. Hold it, don't let it go Hold it, just hold me. Hold it, they'll never know. Hold it, just hold me. Hold it and let it go

Here we are, let's talk of memories and things we used to share I remember we wore glasses, we took them off together in the darkness of your bedroom. We didn't need to see. Did we ever fall asleep? Or did we simply dream? I wonder, I wonder did we ever wake? The company you kept had left you, and so you turned to me. I provided all you needed, until the company you kept before returned to claim you. You didn't hesitate. I just nodded, knowing full well what I'd signed up for. I wonder, I wonder did I really know? Now it's getting dark so early, it makes it hard to see. I just close my eyes and picture the forest through the trees under the rhythm of your body lying next to me. Standing sadly in the hallway, you kissed me one last time. I wonder, I wonder did you ever love me?

Here in this place I'm sheltered in, soft hands have gently closed my eyes Familiar spirits offer warmth and rest. The darkness of the sun has faded at last. I am so grateful for this place as we three spend these hours together. Familiar spirits echo everywhere. It breaks my heart that someday we won't be the same.
